Day 5: Flooring

Wow. I think all of our backs are pretty much broken. We have the master bedroom, half of the kitchen and the pantry yet to put down. I am so indebted to my family for helping!!!

Day 4: Flooring

We are making headway on the wood flooring. Two of the bedrooms are done, the garage hall, the front hall, the living room, almost all of the breakfast nook and half of the third bedroom. It was very time consuming to get around the fireplace.

Day 3

Everyone’s backs are hurting from being bent over all the time. (Medic!!) The floor is coming along nicely though.
I got down 7 sheets of backer board on the master bath floor and discovered that it was 3/8″ wall board instead of 1/4″ floor board. It all had to come back up. Grrr.

Day 2: Hardwood Flooring

The flooring seemed to go down a little faster today. The guys will be full-blown pros when this is all done! They are doing such a great job!
Kris and I installed the living room ceiling fans and the phone jacks. Little bit at a time!

whirlpool tub up and running

Lots more to do so we have to keep reminding ourselves of what we have accomplished. Clay has diligently been working toward completing all of the electrical fixtures and outlets. He has the basement finished, the garage finished as well as the outdoor fixtures.

First floor down

The first bath floor is down. I will grout it tomorrow then finish this bath with fixtures. That will make for the second room in the house to be complete! (Clay finished the MBR with a couple days ago.)
