There was a heavy downpour this morning so not much got done today. The footer forms were removed and the base was filled in with rock. More forms were brought in to form the finished footers and start on the basement walls. The water meter has also been installed.

It took all weekend, but Clay got the rock shelf down to a level that we can deal with. The bulldozer will remove the debris Monday and footers will follow shortly.

When you come to visit, you will have to take the scenic route – and it would be the driveway. A mere 881 feet long. Lay of the land, don’t want to build a second bridge… I have heard several “explainations”.

July 20, 2008 – The bulldozer is scheduled to begin tomorrow morning. We are both excited and stressed over the anticipation of building our house. I will be keeping a photo diary (so-to-speak) of the progress here for friends and family to keep tabs on the pulse of the action.
